Prom dress shopping day 2 // Novena
heyy ;)
Had a lunch date with my secondary school friends at New York New York in Kovan which was R E A L L Y G O O D. Wanted to eat at Lola's though but we had to wait for 30min-45min which we refused to HAHAHAH. But NYNY was realllllllyyyyy good!!! Wanted to get their peanut butter with ice cream waffles but their machine wasn't working so we couldn't have it :( The last time I ate at NYNY was in sec 3? Around 3 years ago HAHA.But the outlet in Kovan was so secluded so there wasn't many customers during the lunch period \'_'/
Novena - Square 2 + Velocity + United Square
Actually, Square 2 really has MANY shops which sells dresses. I'm not even joking. But there're some which are really really expensive so be sure so give these shops a miss! (If you're on a tight budget ^ ^) AHHA. Didn't have any dress which I liked in particular so no hauls today :((( OWELL!! But we went for llaollao, and the queue at United Square was REALLY short compared to the ones at Somerset and Dhoby Ghaut, probably because it's out of the way. Been so long since I had llaollao, but I didn't have any cravings so I didn't get any usually. But sharing a sanum was really good ;))) JOY OF SHARING HAHA Actually the quality of llaollao wasn't that great, since it melted damn fast and it was like watery :( kinda disappointed, but I guess thats what happens when there's too many of one kind of shops: the quality goes downnnnnn ._. BUT OH WELL

Prom dress shopping day 1 // Orchard-Somerset

MANZ. Prom dress shopping was DRAINING. But REALLY loved the company ❤️ cause I've been feeling so lonely for the past few days 😢 sigh I'm so dependent I should really maintain. OHWELL. Pris, Laura and Shihui are such nubz hehe
Anyway, the Christmas decorations in Orchard was B E A U T I F U L. I rarely go to the town area near festive seasons cause of the crowd, but I really really loved the decorations ☺️
PLUS, town area is basically filled with people I know, and almost everyone I know went to the town area. Even my primary school friends went but couldn't say hi as they were walking too quickly :((
Right. For my prom dress I'm trying to search for a navy blue/maroon maxi dress, but I would want something special too 😉 I wouldn't know how to describe it so I'll show you when I get it!!
Firstly, we shopped at 313 Somerset. The clothes there was really expensive, with all the branded stuff which was totally unaffordable. There was this prom dress shop on level 3/4 which was quite affordable, but couldn't find anything suitable 😢 F21 could have suitable dresses, but they're quite limited anyway.
Went to Far East Plaza after, which is the 'best' place for affordable prom dress shopping. Had quite a few dresses which I was interested in, but didn't get them in the end as I didn't feel strongly for them :(( it's like, you need this feeling/rapport with your clothes you know?? BUT AT LEAST SHIHUI BOUGHT A NAVY DRESS. So 1/4 of our mission accomplished. HEHEHE
Next was ION Orchard. There are TONS of shops there, like Pull and Bear, Topshop, Aeropostale, Zalora pop up store, Bershka, H&M and so on. Really really really wanted to go shopping there, but most of them carry winter season clothes right now so 😭 and their non-sale items are not really that cheap too.
Takashimaya was another place too, but as you know, THE STUFF THERE ARE NOT CHEAP. Probably just a few hundred 💁 Clearly we don't have the money 😒
Lastly was Cineleisure. We just went Editor's Market as it was already around 9, but didn't get anything as the cutting for the clothes was really weird/off/not for us. But their clothes are quite affordable I guess ☺️ Though it's mostly for petite/good body shape kind of people.
OWELL. Quite sad I didn't get a dress but IT'S WORTH IT TO GET A BETTER ONE/ ONE THAT I HAVE A RAPPORT WITH. Do you feel me HUR HUR HUR.
Luckily I'm not working the next few days so at least I have time to go prom dress shopping again 😉

Clean up // Accessories
heyy ;))
Was cleaning up my room yesterday (actually just one of my drawers) and IT. WAS. BURSTING.
So I guess I'll just show you some of my accessories x) Well, initially I thought I had too MANY accessories, but after thinking about it, no actually I don't... but nevertheless, I'll still buy more HAHA. Since I couldn't wear these accessories when I was in school, I wouldn't buy that much as I don't go out often :((
Firstly, my collection of glasses '-O-O-'
Actually I bought most of them in Malaysia which was quite cheap! The top left pair, the one with shiny beads was my birthday present in Sec 1 (or was it 2? oops I forgot) from some of my closest friends <3 hehe
The one right below it was from Daiso though ;))) hehehehe
Next, would be my necklaces <3
Bought most of them from Bugis Street since it's quite cheap there! Well, except for the beaded necklace on the right which was from Hainan, China near the beach, and the 2 necklaces below were from Penang, Malaysia by Tua Pui Handmade which I bought from a night market. Her items are really gorgeous so you should really check them out! They're all handmade too ;) And her accessories are supposedly suitable for those with sensitive skin, including me, and I don't have any rashes so I guess it's ok!
Then, my earrings n_n
I don't have a lot of earrings, and I got all of them from many different places, since you can buy earrings almost everywhere! The top 2 pairs which are on the paper are from Tuapui handmade too (do you see the 'set' there ;)) ). The piano earrings below were given to me by my cousin, and the next 2 pairs were bought from Aeropostale in a pack. Do you see my winged-earrings? THOSE WERE THE ONES I WORE FOR PROM IN SEC 4, then I never wore them again LOL. Time to get them out of the corner. Mousey earrings were from my neighbour when I was really young, probably in Primary school (?), when they went to Malaysia, so I really really realllllyyyyyy treasure them a lot <3 The dangling earrings on the right were from Malaysia, and I wore them when I went for my cousin's wedding dinner earlier in the year ;)
LASTLY, THE CHAIN EARRINGS. Though I have a helix, they're still really pretty <3 One of them was given to me by my pri such friend on my birthday, and the other one was from Lovisa (including the line of earrings which was one whole set). HEHE
Can't forget my bracelets, no?
Basically they're from Bugis Street and Aeropostale ;) Except for the top left one, which was from Hainan, China and the plain black one. It was from Cotton On, and they had their donation initiative, where the proceeds would be donated to a charity n_n The chained one below was a customised charm bracelet, which just chose for fun \^_^/
Last but not least, MY RINGS
NO I AM NOT ATTACHED. HAHA. Single and ready to mingle YA. (kidding I don't want to get attached actually HUR HUR HUR) But really love these rings. The plain ones were from Lovisa, the middle ones from Aeropostale, and the last one from Malaysia. The owl one is my favourite though, since IT'S SO CUTEEEEE <3 HEHE
Well, that sums up my accessories! This is clearly going to be expanding at an exponential rate since I'll be shopping and going out and stuff <3 YAY I'M SO HAPPY.
HUR HUR HUR really cannot wait to go out!!

HE'S SOOOOO CUTEEEEE. It's a Disney movie set in San Fransokyo (see what they did there hur hur hur) where everything is just freakin' cool, with prodigies/ inventors. The storyline was quite good IMO but I won't say too much about it just in case they become spoilers ;))
This movie is like a mix of wall-E (Eva), and maybe Kungfu Panda?? I just have that feeling.
OH and we didn't know there was post credits, so we didn't stay on to watch :(((( OMANZ should have stayed!!!!!

I'm not even joking. It's officially the end and THE TASTE OF FREEDOM. My last paper was Chem P1, which is just MCQ, but it was quite tricky. Nevertheless, I've been so excited since morning that As are going to be over!!!! The rest of my class had History P2 in the morning so they couldn't enjoy earlier, but clearly, WE ARE ALL FREE <3 <3 (Bio kids and there others who haven't finished good luck!!!!)
And, it's the last time I'm wearing my school uniform ever :(( Happy but sad, I'm forever contradicting myself LOL.

Last time studying at airport // As PLEASE END QUICK

Can't believe it's the last time studying at the airport. FOR As. Studied at QUIZNOS when we first started studying at the airport then when they started chasing people/ not allowing students to study/ have a designated study time from 12am-6am. WELL THANKS QUIZNOS WE WILL DEFINITELY STUDY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT YA.
Our new study place is KFC now, and we've been going there since forever (ok kidding) and its AWESOMEZ. Usually go for lunch at ASTONS HEHEHEH then dinner at kfc. Obviously got damn sick of KFC eating the same unhealthy thing over and over again :(( BUT NO CHOICE LA.
Ate at QUIZNOS for the last time in mah life HURHURHUR minus PRIS 😢😢😢
Had to study for Chem MCQ today :(( Was quite productive in the morning doing TYS, then in the afternoon I got so tired I just went to shop at T3. AND THERE'S A REALLY HUGE 4 FINGERS SHOP, MANY MANY MANY FOOD STALLS AND CLOTHES SHOPS, makes me feel like I'm in heaven alr n_n
Had to eat KFC for dinner OFC, and I'M. SO. DAMN. SICK. OF. KFC. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
ewwwww I can don't eat KFC for another year. HAHA kidding I still might actually. Sad thing is there isn't student meal there so it's quite ex IMO :(

Short liberation from exams // Shopping spree

IT'S THE WEEKENDS <3
I was so excited cause though there's an exam on Mon, I have a day to chill outx x) Anyway, it's been so long since I went shopping, and legit shopping with my mum. HUR HUR HUR my ATM; KIDDING. But yea usually if I go shopping with her she'll pay for my stuff, so extortion time!!!!!!! KIDDING LA. But maybe I actually did it WHOOPS \ ^_^ /
Went Plaza Singapura just now, with the sole intention of going to Spotlight, and just 'shop' at the same time. There was llaollao there, but I didn't know why I wasn't that interested/craving for it, so I didn't get it :(
Also went to Centrepoint after for their Metro sale ;))

Got L'Oreal's eyeliner and Revlon's white eyeshadow instead, since my mum said she had other eyeshadow colours. And there was a 20% discount, PLUS 10% discount, for the Revlon product. So I guess it's worth it! v prices below before discount!!!

IT'S THE WEEKENDS <3
I was so excited cause though there's an exam on Mon, I have a day to chill outx x) Anyway, it's been so long since I went shopping, and legit shopping with my mum. HUR HUR HUR my ATM; KIDDING. But yea usually if I go shopping with her she'll pay for my stuff, so extortion time!!!!!!! KIDDING LA. But maybe I actually did it WHOOPS \ ^_^ /
Went Plaza Singapura just now, with the sole intention of going to Spotlight, and just 'shop' at the same time. There was llaollao there, but I didn't know why I wasn't that interested/craving for it, so I didn't get it :(
Also went to Centrepoint after for their Metro sale ;))

1 PAPER LEFT!! // To dye, or not to dye
hey ;)
I am never ever ever, gonna touch physics again ~
HAHA PHY MCQ JUST ENDED YOZZZ HAPPYGIRL96 but no that happy cause physics was hard this year I have no idea why -.- Owell I could just tikam and theres still '25%' chance of getting it right LOL. Down to Chem MCQ on mon, which I can't wait to get over and done with and A LEVELS IS OVER FOR GOODDDDDD <3
hur hur hur. Finished watching my drama too ;)) Was watching Master's Sun on my iPad, and it was so sad :'( last night I cried while watching LOL and I got so annoyed the guy didn't chase after the girl. But typical drama scenario \ '_' / It's such a really really really good drama, though the front was still a little scary cause of the ghosts and they got increasingly less scary EHEHEHE. They're so cute tgt ;)) But I'm having drama withdrawal symptoms now cos I don't think i can find any other drama thats this good :'( BUT I'M SURE THERE IS HEHE
Right, and I was just thinking, SHOULD I DYE MY HAIR???
I really really REALLYYYYYYY wanna have Highlights + Ombre hair, maybe from black to brown/dark blonde/blonde since I won't have to be scared my black roots can be seen ;) Not that I hate my black hair, I just wanna have something interesting. And I wouldn't mind blue/red ombre but I'm planning for the long run since I'm gonna keep this till I go Uni (that is, if i'm going uni) But ombre hair looks better for wavy/curly hair which I CLEARLY do not have (maybe theres a little teeny weeny bit of wave but thats all). I want something like
PRETTY RIGHT?
But the thing is I don't really wanna ruin my hair :( Realised in the morning that my hair actually feels really nice (to me hur hur not bragging) and if I actually dye it it will become dry?? :( DECISIONS DECISIONS. And I would need to go to a good salon, JIC it turns out horribly/oddly, which leads to the next thing: $$$$
BURDEN money having to may so much for ombre hair. And its even more ex than dyeing just one colour since this requires ALOTTTTT of work. And a good salon would cost around >S$150, which my mum wouldn't mind paying la, BUTTTTT. ;(

Dental // Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip MnM's cookies
heyy ;)
Stayed at home today the whole day again, although I was supposed to go out for breakfast and lunch but some SBOL decided to pangseh both. SBOL if u see this i hope u feel guilty hehe. ANYWAY, went for dental checkup at 11 cause its been more than a year since I went for a dental checkup. Kinda guessed it and I need filings :(( OWELL. Actually I don't really understand why people are scared of the dentist, cause I LOVE GOING TO SEE THE DENTIST. Maybe cause when I was in Primary School whenever we had dental checkup we go to skip classes and I clearly <3-ed that HAHAHAHAH. skipping school since 1996 OK KID.
BAKING AFTER A LONG HIATUS
So DAMN happy I got to bake today ;)) I think the last time I baked was a few months ago?? Baking today was soooooo liberating. Though it's something I do alone, I just feel so happy :') I really have no idea why LOL. And the baking websites I usually go to HAVE SO MANY UPDATED RECIPES I'M SO HAPPY. Lemme give a list of some I frequent ;) (they're really easy to make too!!)

Anyway, baked cookies from Half Baked Harvest today ;) ->Chocolate Chunk Peanut Butter Honey Cookies (original recipe)
But I changed some ingredients and decreased the amount of sugar cause I feel that recipes from baking websites are too sweet for my taste; not that I hate sweet stuff, just that they're too sweet I cannot take it :(( and the product was really good!! For me it came out as soft cookies but I really love them so if you do too, then this is for you!!!!! PLUS theres peanut butter, and chocolate, and I even added MnMs ;))) SINFUL DELIGHT
Anyway, this is my 'ingredients-tweaked' recipe :) Basically its around the same though HAHA
Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Honey Cookies + MnMs + Less Sugar (you can decrease the amount of sugar if you like it less sweet!!!)

Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Honey Cookies + MnMs + Less Sugar (you can decrease the amount of sugar if you like it less sweet!!!)
INGREDIENTS
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (280g)
1 teaspoon baking soda (I used 4tsp of baking powder cause I ran out of baking soda :(( )
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter, softened (225g)
40g granulated sugar
130g packed brown sugar
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 whole egg + 1 egg yolk
150g creamy peanut butter
2 tablespoons honey
Desired amount of Chocolate chips and MnMs
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Combine the flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl. Beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy, about 3 to 5 minutes. Add the egg + egg yolk and beat well. Beat in the peanut butter and honey.
- Gradually beat in the flour mixture. Stir in the chocolate chunks and Reese's Pieces.
- Roll the dough into scant tablespoon size balls. Stack two balls together and place them two inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, but no longer. Over baking them is never good! Allow to cool three minutes then eat warm or move to a cooling rack to cool completely. (I baked for 13min or more cause it was a little too soft :(( )
