April's song of the month: Tong Hua 童话 by Guang Liang

hey ;)

Back to song of the month!! ;) Well, actually it's just the song which I keep singing during the month and this time, it's tong hua! It's a chinese song and sang this song during karaoke sessions with BBB and really really really love this song cause it gives me feels and memories :')

Still remember last time how the radio keeps playing this song, and during bus rides, they'll be playing the radio and this song would always be playing at the right time. And I'll be really happy and start singing to this ;) Well that was in the past now, and buses now don't play the radio anymore which is quite sad :( Everyone will be on their phones texting/watching videos/scrolling through social media.

But anyway, IMO, it's a really really really deep song and vvvv sad :'( If you actually watch the MV, the girlfriend(I think) dies cause of some disease and I'll always tear during that part :( The song is about this guy who's convince his girlfriend that fairytales do happen in real life, promises to protect his girlfriend no matter what happens, and also tries his best to fufil her wishes. And it's really like a love story :')
张开双手变成翅膀守护你
OH and the piano melody is SO SO SO NICE. And I've finally learnt how to play it x) and it makes me miss playing the piano too ever since I stopped going for lessons. Prolly playing the piano once a month now which is quite sad so after this I will go and play again hehehe :)

幸福和快乐是结局
Which means happiness would be the end. Like how fairytales end!!! AND THEY LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER HAHAHA <3 V SWEET RIGHT!!

This song brings back so much memories! :) I believe there will be happy endings so anyone who is going through rough patches JIAYOU AND DON'T GIVE UP!! \^^/

And yup, so this is April's song of the month!! Have a great day ahead everyone ;)

SSDC (Woodlands): Driving Lesson 7 // Double driving lessons?

hey ;)

My life has been slowed down alot this week, especially cause I didn't go out as much. Sigh I need to work and earn my transport fees and pay for food.

Been vvvv long since I blogged about my driving, so I guess here's a update! :)
Last 2 weeks, I've had 3 driving lessons and this week, I have 5 lessons.

Double Driving Lessons in a Day?

On Mon, I had double driving lessons. So for SSDC, I booked from 8.15am-10.15am, then break for 15min, and 2nd lesson from 10.30am-12.30pm. So I guess in total around 4h consecutively.

IT. WAS. MAD.

Not even kidding. I was so so so so so tired after 4h of driving. Ok, maybe cause I had enough sleep the previous night, and I could stay awake for both lessons, but I could feel my concentration decreased in the 2nd lesson, but enough to advance to my next driving subject. LOL. And the most important thing was, MY SHOULDERS WERE ACHING. Cause I wasn't exactly relaxing on the seat, obviously I was a little tense since I was driving on the roads, and you have to be alert of your surroundings, and sitting upright made me more focused (idk why). But anyway, it was really tiring ._.

But luckily, I was still in Stage 1 during the consecutive lessons, which was quite easy, like prolly starting off the car and moving along and turning and all the basic stuff la, before you learn the courses. (aka S course, parking etc.)

So IMO, DON'T take double driving lessons consecutively. If you think you can do it, then prolly just have double consecutive lessons for Stage 1. (the easiest part) Actually it'll be ok if you have 2 lessons spread out in a day, like maybe 1 in the morning, and 1 in the afternoon etc. But it'll be a waste of time unless you live near the place.

But if you're damn pro then ok la, go ahead!!! But I will defo take every lesson seriously cause it is REALLY NOT CHEAP AT ALL. If you think about it 2h -> $77.04 gone. zzz My dad even said last time when he learnt it was only $7/h. HAHA LAST TIME.

And the instructor was really funny, he was like saying:

"WA 4H CONSECUTIVELY AH. NOT BAD CAN DRIVE TO KL ALR" HAHAHAH

ohwell!!! Luckily no more double lessons phew.

Insecurities // Should friends be ranked?

Hey ;)

This question has been in my mind for quite a while now, and really, should we rank our friends?

OK LA I ADMIT OK I was really hesitant about posting this cause I'll cfm get judged but wtv it's all in the past and like this was partly a drafted post which stayed as a draft for A HECK LONG HAHA.

It can be just for fun/as a joke, which I really don't mind at all, but you'll never know who minds it, or even take it seriously. I've already been through being insecure about myself, feeling like I'm not very close to anyone, maybe like friends on the surface but not truly as friends close to my heart.(ok v confusing but it's true) It haunted me for years, and I was desperately trying to be accepted in any group that I truly feel close to. But maybe cause it was a desperate AND futile attempt, I found it hard to keep up with my personality, to try and fit in with the groups I've been hanging out with.

Soon I realised that I wasn't being sincere anymore, to anyone and myself, and I hated myself for that. And I wasn't even being who I truly am. But after listening to HTHTs and understanding more about people, I realized that even the best people have their problems. It's just that they don't show it. And I wouldn't have known if they didn't tell me, no matter how observant I am???

Which is why everything is just in our minds. Learning to be comfortable in my own skin, and being myself felt so relieving. Any insecurity I feel, as long as I believe that I am not insecure, helped me through everything, making me really really open about myself and telling people how I truly feel. Ok la, maybe I can get a bit bitchy when ranting about stuff but at least I will tell the person I'm ranting about that I'm bitching about them. Which is really quite funny but it makes you true. There'll definitely be times when you will be angry with your friends, even your closest friends, but that's what makes your friendship even stronger ;)

You can be jealous of your friends, but ultimately, we are all different and they may be jealous of you too, but it makes you a stronger individual. People can judge me and I can also judge people, but in the end we will just forget about it a few years down the road and look back and laugh at all the stupid things we've done. Oh anyway I am no saint so I can be mean but everyone knows that so 💁

I'm so glad I've been through that stage even though it was a conscious effort. When people know me they have a choice whether they want to be close to me, and I won't have to handle that much fake friendship ;) And I really treasure all the friends I've made throughout my life for making me who I am and guiding me along <3 and doing all the stupid shit which I feel so so so comfortable in.

So no, I will never ever rank my friends. You all are equally important, so even if I've been asked to rank my friends, my ans would never be definite ;)))

VOLLEYBALLERS! really missed them alot :')

Free Cone Day '15

hey ;)

14 Apr was yesterday which meant... IT WAS BEN AND JERRY'S FREE CONE DAY!!! x)))
This year was my 2nd time going there, and last year was the first time I've heard about it. Since there isn't school and we were all free, we went to the one at Dempsey since the queue was faster (past year experience ;) ) Me, Es and Ali reached at around 1155, and there was alr a queue --kiasu for ice cream!! HEHE

Good thing about going early is that the queue would defo be shorter, since alot of students won't be there yet cause school hasn't ended. And Dempsey is quite ulu for many schools, and most people would go to the more convenient places such as Vivo and 313 Somerset.

We also dedicated songs using my Twitter HAHAHA but we didn't get to stay long enough for our dedication to be heard :'( But we got free colour changing spoons!!! ;)

There were 18 flavours this year, so we were quite spoilt for choices. And they even gave us this ice cream paper sleeve which had our name on it which I didn't really understand why cause we won't actually use it anw.

Finally got my first ice cream: Playmoolah (coffee flavoured with chocolate chunks!!) IT WAS DAMN GOOD LOL but the paper sleeve on the cone was really hard to remove so I threw the cone away after eating the ice cream. The ice cream also started melting REALLY FAST. Probably cause the weather was seriously hot and it was outdoors haha. CRAZY. So we were a mess. Either you become a mess or you eat quickly. SOBZ.

Playmoolah
had to finish the top before taking a photo
2nd round took around 5min HAHAHAH REALLY FAST OMG
Chunky Monkey (banana!)
Had the banana flavoured one with walnuts inside. It was actually quite good cause the banana flavour was subtle and the walnuts were really good ;)

3rd round was mango sorbet, since I felt that the sorbet were the only ones which didn't melt so fast??? IDEK WHY maybe cause not alot of milk/cream. But anyway, it just tasted damn sweet like ice blend but Es and Ali didn't really like it hahahha. Ok la it wasn't that bad but I won't get sorbet hahahaah.

Mango Sorbet

LOL and my friends complained I eat ice-cream disgustingly but don't you lick the sides so that it doesn't drip off from the side????? HAHAHA whatever!!! As long as I enjoy my ice cream its ok :>

We got colour changing spoons from song dedications!!! It supposedly turns blue when cold hehehe

spoons!!!

FIRST IN LINE?!?!
Saw quite a few familiar faces there which was quite nice :) We went for a rest after and decided we couldn't eat anymore cause it was too sweet. But I got another sorbet for my dad cause he was fetching us to Dhoby ;) SO we also got another chocolate flavoured one HAHAHAHAH I shared that with Es though but it melted damn quickly and the paper couldnt come off so we just ate the ice cream and threw the cone again HAHAHA. Oh Chocolate fudge brownie was out of stock by 1 plus LOL THAT WAS FAST.

The queue at 1.30 was also VVVV short HAHAAH so we got our ice creams damn fast.

Total count: 3 1/2 ice creams

LOL that was my lunch but I'm so sick of ice cream now omg. But B&J is so nice to have FCD every year!!! x) Really really thankful cause we have another reason to meet up heheheehe!! Quite sure the ice cream scoopers could recognise us LOL but thanks for all the work!! ;))))

Happy Free Cone Day and can't wait for next year's!!! <3

The Music Run 2015

hey ;)

As yall know, The Music Run just ended on Sat 11 Apr 2015 at Sentosa, and I got to go with one of my favourite bunch of people, BBB!!! <3 (but missing Ali and Nhu sobz :'( )

Music Run is a 5km non-competitive run, and throughout the whole 5km, there are different music zones at every km, and runners get to vote for the songs to be played throughout the run through Spotify.

1km-Rock
2km-Pop
3km-Retro
4km-HipHop
5km-Dance

And since it's been so long since I've went for a fun run, I went with BBB <3 and we paid $50 :)

Apparently it wasn't well publicised, so alot of people didn't really know much about the run, and I actually found out while randomly scrolling though the internet. The race pack collection was at Scape, and I went with Dong really late, like on the last day before 9pm LOL cause we were quite busy HAHA. I always love the drawstring bags that runs give us, like I can just throw everything I needed for the run in the bag and put it in the bag deposit ;) There was a pink dri-fit shirt given, which was REALLY COMFY!!! And I could wear S so it's the men's sizing. There were a few vouchers from Scape inside, but I rarely go Scape so I might not exactly use the vouchers LOL. And there was this Swisse multivitamin bottle inside but I haven't tried it though!! Will try it soon since it's free HAHAH But q sad they didn't give runners like prolly 1 month free Spotify since Spotify was one of the partners sobz :'(

ANYWAY, the music festival grounds was near Palawan Beach, and there were marshals and signs to guide us to the place so it was really easy to get there. And we took pics along the way ;)

The area was really quite huge, but there weren't alot of people as expected, as compared to Colour Run and stuff!!! Which I find it quite sad cause it's a fun run and it's really damn interesting!! (fun WALK) We reached at around 3pm and the race starts at 4pm so we just hobo-ed around and we were all quite tired. There were places to take photos in but we were too lazy to queue so we just went to deposit our bags at the bag deposit area and went to the Start Entrance cause we wanted to be in the first wave HAHA.

posted this photo to get the free sunglasses HAHA
Anyway truth is we used the sunglasses to hide our identity when doing retarded things but really, going all out is what matters!!!!

Start Entrance!!

our standard photo taking position LOL
People started running when they started the run, but we just couldn't be bothered cause we alr settled that we WOULD NOT RUN LOL. So we started singing when we heard the songs hehehehe

START!

Along the way we were slowly getting into the dance/singing mood so we just singed(shouted) the lyrics along the way whenever we know the song so I guess we were quite noisy!! Most of the runners were just enjoying the music and running and we were dancing (similar to clubbing already HAHA) and singing AND IT WAS A HECK CRAZY. And the photographers of the run kept taking photos/videos of us which was quite funny HAHA prolly cause we were making so much noise and making everyone hear our horrible voices but isn't this what fun is all about??? Like just letting loose!! Especially on a music run ;)))

There were a few photo taking places along the way so we just went all out too!!
sobz purposely got blocked LOL

Mirror groupfie HEHE

Elvis Presley!! Ok look horrible here but attention to the runner at the back HAHAHAHA
we wished we could play beach volleyball :'(

Oh and there was a graffiti board along the way so we got to spray!!! <3 omg LEGIT FIRST TIME so we just wrote BBB <3
We did GRAFFITI!!

We didn't take photos with all the boards though HAHA

My favourite part was everything actually, esp the EDM part cause it's legit clubbing and we just danced the way which was really really funny but FUNNNNN!!! And there was this tent that had clubbing feel but it was so so so stuffy.

There were a few songs that we liked too so we just stayed at the zone for a while more and sang and danced to the song before moving on HAHA which added on to our timing. We even back tracked when they started playing nice songs while everyone continued forward which was quite hilarious LOL.

Just didn't really like the hiphop part cause we didn't really know the songs so it was an opportunity to rest since we were really really tired from singing and dancing HAHAHAHA.

There was also water stop and they also gave Aquarius which we felt was too slow so we just took the whole bottle for the 5 of us HAHA it was vvvvvvv good and cold yumz  ;)
Stole the whole bottle HAHA

We finished the run in 1h20min LOL 5km only but we enjoyed ourselves and had alot of fun <3 There was the after party after that and we just joined in AND WE WENT CRAY LIKE CLUBBING LOL. I swear the whole day we were all day-clubbing HAHAHA (and I legit felt that that was better than night clubbing on the day lol) but anyway YA cause they played really really really good songs, but just that some songs I didn't know/didn't know the lyrics to so just had to follow the tune and kenot sing which made me really sad but wtv still good songs <3

AFTER PARTY
LOL really not alot of people!!!
There was this damn famous beat boxer Dharni which is AMAZING. His beat boxing skills are seriously damn legit and idrk but they said he was a local talent so prolly from Singapore?? But we went Australia to live and work, which is good cause if he stayed in Sg he prolly won't be able to make it and be famous :( which is really quite sad! There's also this AMAZING singer K-Leah and when they performed together it was SO BLOODY GOOD ok I cheered v loudly for them cause they were legitly good!!! Their voices were so smooth and magical idk how to explain la but really damn good should just watch them live manz!!!!

I really think that the Singapore crowd is not v high??? Like maybe cause most of them are shy so they don't really show their excitement and keep quiet most of the time and vvvv sian liddat. But really, if you don't enjoy now, when??? PLUS it doesn't hurt to just cheer for stuff and go high and crazy for a while right?? Sometimes I feel really sad for the host if the crowd is not enthusiastic cause the main thing is the crowd but it's really hard to make Singaporeans enthu :'(

But we seriously heck care and went all out and partied to the music for really long and had a CRAZY GOOD TIME with my BBB and so so so glad to have them in my lives <3 They are really my blessings! Some people say The Music Run is not fun but I really think it's a matter of choice and company. You can choose to enjoy or not and having the right company would change your experience alot!!!

So glad that BBB's about to go crazy when we want/need to which makes all our outings seriously damn fun cause I really think we are very thick skinned and when we are together we just go whatever we enjoy :))) Which is one thing I really love about them <3

Yeap, though there weren't many people who attended as expected, I had an AMAZING time there and I really really wanna go for more fun runs with BBB <3
Oh it'll be quite funny if our photos taken by the photographer gets on FB LOL HAHAH (but I really hope not)

March's song of the month: The Nights by Avicii

One day, you'll leave this world behind, so live a life, you will, remember
 -The Nights by Avicii
I should totally make a song of the month post HAHAHA since I never have any fixed song I like, plus they all reflect what I'm actually feeling ;)

LINK TO MV HERE

For the past month in March, I was actually unemployed and there were times when I stayed at home for the whole day being lazy and not doing much stuff which really bored me and made me really sad :( Especially when it was the month of uni applications which made everything much more stressful and important. And I have always been very uncertain of my life.

I have been having this song on replay for the past few weeks ever since I heard this song. Not only is the tune REALLY GOOD, the lyrics totally reflects what I wanna do with my life. Actually, the MV was the one which got me hooked to the song.

I have always wanted to live my life in a really exciting way, similar to YOLO, but still a little different. I can only live once and I really really really wanna make it a fulfilling one, and do everything at least once. And sine I'm a really adventurous person, I love anything exciting!!! Ok maybe some people will think I'm wild, but I still do have my limits and morals to uphold ;))

The whole song JUST MAKES ME WANT TO LIVE MY LIFE THE BEST AS I CAN??? Esp at the start:

When face to face with all our fears, learned our lessons through the tears, made memories we knew would never fade
OMGGGGG I can totally relate to this song??????????? I swear this is the best song ever invented!!!!!

Actually when I think about it, the whole song just explains my life goals. Although my parents may not support certain things I do, but being really independent helped me alot :) Whenever I hit rock bottom/have any problems, I would be able to learn from my mistakes and actually remember them for life.

HOW DID AVICII EVEN CREATE SUCH CRAZY LYRICS?!?!

My life is vvv chill now, really enjoying myself and going out with my friends and clearing my bucket list and having fun :)

Which made me really wonder, if I were to work in the future, would I do something monotonous and boring and not what I really want? I know I might not be able to have the perfect life I yearn for but would I lose sight of what I really wanna achieve? Would I live a life I won't want to remember?

My life is still really uncertain now since it's the period of waiting for uni acceptances. I am actually still very confused with my own choices. But no matter what, I hope my final choices would be able to allow me to do stuff I really want and not let me regret anything :))) And now I just need to collect all my happy moments to push me through any tough times <3

So for anyone else waiting for uni acceptances or vvv worried about the wait, I'm sure there's always a way for you to live the life you really want and don't lose hope ;)

SSDC (Woodlands): Driving Lesson 1

hey ;)

I finally went for my first driving lesson like most 18 year olds HAHA!!! :))) vvv happy now cause I got to drive a car x)

Anyway, initially I wanted to find a private instructor for manual driving, but I realised that it was really hard since I did not know any contacts. So being lazy, I just went for the school one, for ~$77 per lesson (aka 2h) during non peak periods.

Had to wake up really early to get there since my dad had to drop off my mom and my bro first, so I basically just slept in the car HAHA. Lesson started at 8.15am, and I was supposed to go to lvl 3 and look at the tv screen to see which car I'm using. I used car 40 for my first driving lesson and my instructor was really nice!! :)) So like prolly 5-10min before lesson starts we could start heading to find the car that each of us' driving.

At the start, I just sat in the passenger seat and he drove around the circuit once with all the other cars, then once we stopped, he started explaining about all the controls in the car and how it functions. Basically, more or less the clutch and how to change gear and stuff and prevent the car from stalling. The front passenger seat also had a brake pedal so the instructor can help to stop the car if anything goes wrong.

Well for a first timer, I stalled the car quite a few times LOL. Cause I kept forgetting to slow down when releasing the clutch which became quite annoying to me sobz. But when I got the hang of it ACTUALLY DRIVING WAS REALLY FUN. Went up to gear 2, which is actually vvv slow (but noob like me still not v used to controlling) but the car feels like it's in auto mode which made it so much easier!!

Driving up the slope was the tough part. I couldn't really grasp how to accelerate up a slope and not roll backwards but it was really fun and vvv challenging hehe.

And Ong was really nice to assure me that he can help me if anything goes wrong so just do it LOL. Which made my experience a little less stressful :) And he was really REALLY supportive and ask me to relax HAHA. Ok la I was a little tense initially but that's what all newbies go through, right?? ;)

2h of lesson ended real quick and I wanted another lesson but guess it's for another day ;)))

Still vvv proud of myself for learning to drive a car hehe actually imo this skill would be more useful overseas than in Singapore HAHA cause my family has no car at all LOL.

Alrightys goodluck to everyone learning driving it's really really fun and vvvv useful skill ;) Time to study for trial FTT goshh sobz ._.

Have a great day ahead!! ;)
