Reliving volleyball memories // Passion // Grateful :)

hey ;)

Well, I've FINALLY played volleyball with BBB during one of our juniors' trainings on Saturday (ISH!!!). And still v saddening to hear that ISH can only be used by volleyball on Saturdays, and only during seasons. Really, volleyball is an indoor sport and I definitely feel that playing in the ISH would improve the team's skills ALOT MORE. But school has their weird priorities which is just bullshit sometimes.

ANYWAY, I really really realllllly miss volleyball, I just realised. I missed spiking and receiving and diving and blocking and basically EVERYTHING. :( Which made me really really happy when we played 5h straight. Like I didn't even want to rest!!! Just keep peppering on and on and on :) And I feel that BBB improved alot idek why LOL their receiving improved!! Proud of them hehe.

And our juniors also improved alot, at least most of them can serve over the net now, which is really great. Though their skills won't be enough to win the top 4, but I'm very very sure that as long as they try their best, they would do well in the tournament :)

Since we are J3s (still really weird being called J3s), the J4s and J5s came back to play and they were really good. Didn't get to play with them which was a real shame though, since we had to play with our juniors but ohwell!! There's still chance.

Personally, I really don't know what is 'passion'. Like how do you even know if you have it? I'm the kind of person who gets bored of stuff easily, so it's really hard for me to follow through something, but for volleyball it's just different. I've been playing this since Sec 1, and there were times which I really wanted to quit/stop playing, but I still stayed. And after not playing for so long, I actually miss volleyball :(

Is this passion? I really think that volleyball has brought me far, and brought be loads of joy and sadness and anger and disappointment, but the best thing was I met loads of lovely people through this. Like in Anderson, beach volleyballers, opens, BBB, Raffles, everywhere. It's a real blessing to be able to meet all of them and I'm still so so grateful <3

And Poh Poh brought me into volleyball in Sec 1 (actually I kinda forced myself in but it's another story HAHA) and under him, I really felt like I grew alot and my world changed. I realised I didn't have to please everyone I met, learnt to have my own opinion but still accepting others, learnt to be fierce but kind, be disciplined, and so on.

Really, it's the best thing that happened to me :')


So I guess this is what led to my passion for volleyball?? It's still so abstract but I just know I love volleyball, and it's irreplaceable. And hi guys if you are reading this I love you all kay <3 No matter if we quarrel or not, or hate each other or not, we are all still going strong!!! x)))

OHOH I totally recommend playing volleyball TEHEE!!! It's a vvvvvv fun sport!!!


I guess everyone has their own passion and glad I've found mine :) Maybe (actually) I have alot more but volleyball plays a HUGEEEE role I guess LOL.

Yoogane

Had my virgin Yoogane experience!

Before that BBB + nun crashed training which was trials, so we just played for a while before celebrating shillyqing's birthday. We just smashed a small cake into her face HAHAHAHA DAMN FUNNY.

Basically our celebration has became BBB x hu r u guys group AHAHA actually if you think about it we are all connected to each other which is really quite cool!!

We also got her a skateboard which she always wanted, and the print looks EXACTLY like her. (hehe qing) Yeap!!

And not very important but I don't have a reputation in front of Mr Lee already LOL. I'm sure he thinks I am a wild child. OHWELLZ as long as I know it's not the truth!! ;))

Yoogane



So Qing wanted to eat Yoogane in Singapore, and we went to the one at Bugis Junction. I have NO idea how Yoogane works. Initially I thought it was a place that sells chicken (good chicken wings?!) or korean BBQ (when we entered) but actually, it's like Korean kimchi fried rice + rice cake + cheese (quite similar to baked pasta).

IT WAS SO SO SO COOL. They actually cook the food right in front of you, so you'd have to wear your bib just in case anything splatters on your clothes! DAMN COOL.





Since there were 8 of us, we had to split our tables which was kinda sad:( Sianz.

They had kimchi and quite a few stuff as sides, and the special one was white cabbage with strawberry sauce ?!?!?! HAAHA not even joking!!! But if you like strawberry sauce this is for you ;) IMO it's really unique but I can't really say I LOVE it a lot HAHA. Definitely should try it for the experience!!

And well, it was gossiping session HAHA. And we had to update Ali everything that happened during the VB chalet tsktsk burden :(((

Basically, Yoogane was GOOOOOOD. LEGIT. It's around $14.90++ per person, but we didn't get to try the vegetable pancake. But Qing said the Yoogane in Korea had more meat and rice cake :((( But it's ok!! You get what you get in Singapore!! I actually miss Korea :'( It's been so long since I've went there omg. But I am so broke I can't even survive in Singapore, let alone going overseas. And this week I am J-O-B-L-E-S-S.

Probably gonna quit my waitress job since they don't have my timeslot anymore -.- I feel kinda sad but AIYA time to find another job!! Hope I can get my florist position hehehhehehe

HEHE. Still can't believe we're this close even after JC has ended. Maybe cause uni haven't started we still have time to meet, but really hope that we will still be close even during/after uni! And 10 years later reunion OMG EGGCITING!!!! <3

VOLLEYBALL CHALET [Aloha Changi] // DAY 2 // Drama // Mad

DAY 2



Right, actually time passed damn fast, I'm not even joking. Tanked the whole night and had HTHT with 736iu and since I was falling asleep and didn't wanna leave him alone, we went for a morning walk. Supposed to see the sunrise with the others, but apparently we were looking at the wrong direction HAHA. The sun rises in the East and we were looking towards the North, since we though there was a bright light behind this mini island across the sea. AIYA. noobshitz.

Got really really hungry so we just walked to Changi Village for breakfast without waking everyone else up since they all crashed HAHA. Found this playground with swings so we basically played on the swings for around 1/2h while talking. BEEN SO LONG SINCE I'VE PLAYED ON THE SWING. And best part is swinging till REALLY HIGH. But we actually got tired after HAHAHA.











Went for breakfast and Ipoh Horfun hit the right place. Mmmm.

Dinner at Changi Village too and it's quite funny cause the Hokkien mee uncle was like: " Wa girl is this your uniform you always come here leh" "Very nice wad gimme more leh" HAAHAHAHA. But he's really nice!!! ;))

Day 2 ended even better, but means chalet is ending and I'll defo miss it like crazy :(

I don't really know but I felt the chalet's less scarier with more people and the feeling of good company <3

VOLLEYBALL CHALET [Aloha Changi] // DAY 1 // Creeps // Changi Village

Hey ;)

Have been crashing every night ever since chalet so since today's my rest day, I should start catching up on my posts! Oh and btw, this post is really gonna be split up or it'll be quite long!

Had Volleyball Chalet from 20-22Jan at Aloha Changi, which is REALLY close to Old Changi Hospital. Somemore I was working before meeting them since I really needed the money and the pay was quite good even though it's a really slack job -- PASTING STICKERS. But the Scotch-tape part was really a burden since I kept cutting myself on the blade and had 3 plasters on one hand HAHA. Looks like some hipsterz dude. But the plasters actually continued to help protect my fingers from the blade so luckily I brought them! After work I was CLEARLY HAPPYGIRL96.

My dad was nice enough to drop me at Aloha Changi <3 since my workplace was quite far actually.

Aloha Changi-Yatch Club Bungalow

OK ANYWAY. Met up with Dong, Jonny, Clintono, and James at the chalet first, AND IMO, ALOHA CHANGI IS REALLY CREEPY. I'm not sure about it but it gives me the creeps. The chalet was REALLY HUGE. There were 4 rooms, 3 together and 1 ulu one, 2 toilets, a kitchen, and a living room. And everything was so much bigger than my own house. HAHA. But so many creepy crawlies, if you know what I mean. Kept myself ready all the time just in case there were any ;)) But really grateful for everyone!!

Changi Village

Dinner was clearly at Changi Village, and the hawker centre there has AFFORDABLE AND FREAKING GOOD FOOD. Their hokkien mee and ipoh horfun and sugarcane juice were REALLY GOOD. Anyway, if you don't know which stall to go, just look out for the ones with newspaper articles which they actually put on their signboard LOL. That's like the easiest way to find them!

My friends felt that their chicken wings were so much better than the ones at Old Airport Road, but I prefer the ones at Old Airport Road HEHE.

Oh and there was this shop in Changi Village which sells quite cheap liquor, beside a fishing stall. HAHA (just saying if anyone needs information ;)) ) But we are not alcoholics!!! Everyone else came quite late so we waited for them since it's really unsafe to go to the chalet alone.

Maybe it's just me but I was really happy to have so many people at the chalet together!!! Of course we missed those who didn't came :(( Company > Everything else HAHAH and high people were really funny HAHAHA

 



Day 1 ended really well and was a really good start to the chalet :')
