Life after waitress // COLLECTED MY PAY // Moving on

Hey;))

So I passed by my old workplace, The Pecking Order in Clarke Quay and dropped by to visit!!! :)))) There wasn't anyone in the shop though, only Nirra, Khai and Damian LOL but at least I got to chat with them without feeling bad HEHEHEH!!

IMG_0499

It was really fun chatting and I realised that most of them were also tendering their resignation forms cause of work timings!! So I'm not the only one :)))

Anyway, listened to their story and kinda agreed with some of it, just that I have NEVER seen the boss before HAHAHA.

And I was being super talkative so I was talking to my mom about it. She was like YA JUST QUIT LA and she was also quitting her job cause the boss sux+super NAGGY.

Which actually got me thinking, it's actually not easy to be a boss, right! Maybe I'm not a boss, but I don't understand why some of them will go back on their word or be really strict on their workers. Like, isn't it better to maintain good relationships with your workers and uphold your promises?? OHWELL I am not one so maybe there'll be constraints. But I'll Defo make sure that I'll be nice to my workers if I were one!!!!!!!!:))))

AIYA horrible bosses should just get together and discuss strategies on being horrible HAHAHAH (ok kidding)

But yea it's quite sad :(((

Went to visit them again in the morning on another day to collect my pay!!! Saw Katak, Khai and Fidy!!! Omg so happy talking to them again :'))) Well, guess all of them' leaving and now I know where they are going to work at!!! It's actually really cool since I've went there before and now I have another reason to visit them again.

Really fun but short catch up and getting my pay 😉 so I'm a little richer now, but I still have debts to pay off but it really feels like a liberation not owing anyone money!!

And I hate it when money ruin relationships, like, MONEY IS AN ASSHOLE why are you letting money ruin your friendships??? :(((

But yes it was really great meeting them again ☺️☺️❤️

Mad work day // BUT DAMN FUN

heyy ;))

Had work today so guess I'll just talk about work today LOL.Work was actually fun today, since lunch was full house, and dinner was quite hectic. Still quite new to everything so I was stationed outside with fewer tables. I seriously think the best part is meeting new people during work, since this is one with ALOT of social interaction. Everyone working there was really nice and it's really fun talking to them about random things. AND I actually learnt so much new stuff!!! x))

Mad lunch period was from 1230-230, with many customers ordering food which they said was GOOOODDDD. I was being asked for my own recommendation, but I didn't even try anything yet???? Then I got jealous cause I wanted to eat the food since everyone said it was delicious, BUT I'M GONNA WAIT TILL I GET MY MONEY.

Well, there was this particular customer who complained that their coffee and tea weren't 'hot'. They said their drinks were not hot enough ._. BOILING LEVEL WANT ANOT. Wasted drinks sia BUT WHATEVER. But most of the customers were really nice, and they actually kinda knew I was still new to this (SUPER NOOB SORRY) so they were really tolerant :')

Got hot mocha from Khai which was SO DAMN GOOD I'M NOT EVEN JOKING I AM SERIOUSLY IN LOVE WITH THE HOT CHOCOLATE RIGHT NOW.

Went for lunch with Fidy to get salad near Raffles Place MRT and got stuck in the rain so we had to be like hobos and eat at the UOB building. But at least I'm eating with someone!! And talking to her really made me learn alot more different stuff which I would never have imagined. So it was really fun!! x))

Jue Fei came for a while and ordered beer (I was like whut beer sucks and you drink beer okcan)

During dinner time it was REAL HECTIC. Actually less hectic than lunch, but it was really fun. Especially since people ordered cocktails which looked really pretty in those glasses!! <3 Actually working at night is really fun too, since there's just this atmosphere to nightlife LOL. And luckily we don't have to take care of drunk people (cause there were none ehehe), maybe I'll try working the night shift till the end too!!! ;))

SUALA WORKING IS ACTUALLY REALLY FUN HAHA for now since I'm still new to this LOL. Can't wait to do many different jobs and get many different experiences ;D Promoter job tomorrow again WOOTS

Luv, Olliee!

First Day of Work // The Pecking Order

heyy ;)) (rescheduled again ._.)

Processed with VSCOcam with t1 preset

Right, since I have so much time in my hands so I'd guess I'll go and work and experience the working world. The last time I worked was for my promoter job, which I'll still be helping from time to time x)

Anyway, I got a job at The Pecking Order(TPO) as a cafe waitress, which means afternoon shift. When I went   for the interview, I was supposed to work in the evening/night, but since there was an afternoon slot, guess I'd just take it! ;))  (and the pay was quite good too imo!!)

It's a bar which recently turned into a cafe as they said they got a coffee maker. Kinda interesting I guess. The shop is really small IMO, and it's part of a chain of shops which are bars upstairs--The Mad Men and The Men's Room. Really liked the design and interior of the cafe/bar, since it gives a rustic and vintage feel <3

But the thing is there weren't many customers there as they told me it was still relatively new and many people still did not know about this place.

ANYWAY, first day of work was actually quite exciting and nerve wrecking. Being out in the working world was actually really interesting! And the best part is you get to know more about people from all walks of life, not only those in your circle. Which is really fun!! The people there were really friendly, and it was easy to talk to them, so yeap! x)

Been so long since I wore an apron alr, A MAROON APRON SOMEMORE OMG SO HAPPY I LOVE THE COLOUR. (I'll take a photo next time!)

Learned how to take orders from customers, serve drinks and key into the system. The cafe menu was quite short so it wasn't really a problem trying to understand it, just that I still can't remember the ingredients in the food ._. Salads, sandwiches, and pastas are sold there so actually there's still quite a variety :) ANOTHER THING. They told me the food's all HEALTHY. Olive oil used so no worries to health, which is one reason why the food there was quite expensive. Actually it's cafe price! Like around ~$15/$18. But I have totally no money to eat there, so guess I won't be trying anything from there anytime soon!

I was taught about the different beers, wines and coffees which I actually still can't remember. I always thought Guiness and Tiger and Carlsberg were just the same kind of beer?? I think there was a difference since its lager or stout or something. Guess I should read up more!!

Anyway, since the place was around the office area, the food there was naturally expensive. Had lunch at the nearby pontian noodles stall, which was just $4 for good wanton noodles! (Maybe cause I was too hungry) I'll definitely bring my own food next time to save money hehe!! ESPECIALLY SANDWICHES <3

TPO changed their menu at around 5plus, 6pm to ease into the night menu, which was a new menu on my first day of work, and they sold food similar to something at a tapas bar, but maybe a little different. By 8pm my legs were DYING. Though I didn't have to walk much, it was still tiring to have to stand the whole day.

But nevertheless it was a good day ;)) since I got to start work and the people there were quite nice(I think for now lol)!

Taking up too many jobs, but hope they don't clash!!! hehe. OH DO COME TO VISIT IN THE AFTERNOON PLS!!!
