New layout // SEA Aquarium // Whampoa Hawker Centre

hey ;)

I guess this week I'll be jobless so I have time to actually take my time and blog. HAHA. Actually blogging is really quite fun I guess? And it kills time too ;)

So being at home is really lonely, though I'll be going out in the evening, but still, the period before is quite lonely actually :( OHWELLZ. And being at home alone would make you think about weird stuff and make people emotional about everything and well, that's not the point. Decided to change my layout since I have to entertain myself and took a really long time trying to find a nice layout ;)

Aaaaand, TADA!!!

Ok actually still quite noob but aiya what makes me happy right??? x)

And since I had so much time in my hands, I decided to edit my photos HAHA. I am seriously damn noob at using a DSLR so my photos have to be edited no matter what. And I still can't find out how to use the timer. Or how to take photos without using flash and making the photos look nice. -.- Guess I should learn basic photography sometime!

This post is gonna be another major photo spam, sorry!! :((

SEA Aquarium

My parents decided to go SEA Aquarium one day since there were cheap tix which we had to use by 31 Jan, and we got our aunt to come along since my bro was being a burden. Sad thing is no one is actually free and the only available timeslot is during the evening, which means only 1h+ to actually walk around the whole aquarium. Not a good idea, exactly.

We reached SEA Aquarium at 5.45pm, and since it closes at 7pm, we have about an hour to finish walking the whole thing. Don't really know why, but watching so many fishes gives me a really calming effect. Like, no exams, no stress, no worries (ok maybe not get eaten but still), no problems, just swim around all day every day. AND if you're a small fish you get company 24/7. Sounds great, no? HAHAH.

The variety of marine life there is MAD. There are so many different types of marine life--colourful fishes, crabs, octopus, starfish, seahorses... HOW DO I EVEN LIST THEM.

Best thing is I got to hear the clicking sound of dolphins <3 Since we were really late and there wasn't many people left, the guide just suddenly came round to us and told us that if you put your ear on the glass, you would be able to hear the clicking sounds made by dolphins. AHHHH SO CUTE!!! I wanted to be a dolphin trainer once, but I don't want to train caged dolphins :( SO NO.

My aunt and mum were discussing which fishes could be eaten HAHAHAHA I couldn't stop laughing. They were like:

"Eh this one can eat right"

"Yalor but this one not nice, that one nicer"

"Here got alot sia, if only can eat them"

[caption id="attachment_832" align="aligncenter" width="660"]IMG_2270 The fishes on the right can be eaten. (I think)[/caption]

HAHAHAHA SERIOUSLY. I cannot stand them.

[caption id="attachment_810" align="aligncenter" width="660"]Processed with VSCOcam with t1 preset The jellyfishes are seriously gorgeous[/caption]

And well, my dad was feeling quite generous so he got me this:

The gelato was REALLLLLYYYYYY good!!!! It's super super creamy and smooth <3 But the price is totally not worth it HAHAHA

Well, we were really late, like we left the Aquarium at 7.40pm? So the people working inside were trying to rush us. Like, they kept asking: "Hi do you need a group photo?" EVERY SINGLE TIME WE WERE AT A NEW PLACE. HAHAHAAHHA It was really quite funny. They didn't explicitly ask us to leave, but it's quite obvious they were rushing us :( AWW. And I didn't get to enjoy the whole aquarium since we were basically rushing through and I could just nua around :((( Hence the face.

We weren't really that hungry but we still went Whampoa's hawker centre to have hokkien mee which is REALLY GOOD. But IMO, I still think the one from Changi Village is alot nicer ;)) But the serving here is alot more, like their $6 bowl is quite similar to the serving size of $8 hokkien mee in Changi Village -.-

[caption id="attachment_835" align="aligncenter" width="660"]Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset Hokkien mee--$6[/caption]

We also got satays, which was REALLY BAD. I'm not even joking. The meat felt undercooked, and undermarinated, and the colour of both the gravy and satay was just off. -.- SIGH. But we still managed to finish them :(

[caption id="attachment_836" align="aligncenter" width="660"]Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset :((([/caption]

Really sad that we had to rush through the whole of SEA Aquarium :( Really really really wanna go again, and next time, I'll stay in there for the whole day. But taking photos inside there is really bad, like selfies will become really grainy and normal photos would need flash, which I hate HAHA.

AIYA I'll defo get the chance to go again!!!

Old Airport Road // Types of customers promoters have to face // Dropping by ;)

hey ;)

IMG_9790

So recently I had work during the weekend again. And since the pay was good + people there were nice, I wouldn't mind working there :) SO I dropped by to help out at the booth. This time it was at Suntec Convention Centre and the working hours were REALLY LONG. But since it's only for 3 days I guess it wasn't that bad! Had to work for 11h the first 2 days and it didn't help that I didn't sleep before the 2nd day but AT LEAST I TANKED THROUGH >:) I could sleep while talking to people though HAHA.

Went Old Airport Road to have breakfast on my 2nd and 3rd day with my parents and had FREAKING GOOD LOR MEE and SHAO BAO and PORRIDGE and TAUHUAY and CHEE CHEONG FUN hehehe. I always hate Singapore's chee cheong fun since it ruins the taste (Penang's ones are the BEST) but this hk one is REALLY GOOD NO JOKE. I usually bring food to eat at work for lunch and dinner since I am really broke :(((( Like legit, 0 cash and $0 in my ATM.

[caption id="attachment_787" align="aligncenter" width="660"]IMG_9758 LOR MEE idk the price hahaha but damn good[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_785" align="aligncenter" width="660"]IMG_9780 Handmade Chee cheong fun -$2/roll[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_790" align="aligncenter" width="660"]IMG_9782 My shao bao for dinner[/caption]

AND my dad was so nice he knew I had a sleepover so I wouldn't have enough sleep so he secretly gave me this <3

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset

Well, even though I was SUPER SLEEPY on the 2nd day, people came to visit me <3 So Shihui dropped by to have Llao Llao with me, which I haven't eaten since before As HAHAHA. But it was SOOOOO GOOD. Ok, I guess I've lost my interest in Llao Llao actually since there were too many outlets popping up suddenly and the quality is going down and the price is actually quite high ._. Time to find another craving.

IMG_9778

IMG_9761

Claud, Shabs, Leumas and 736iu came to visit me at work which was quite funny actually HAHA and all the dirty people who didn't change their clothes since the day before. But aww they came to visit me thanks!! ^^

[caption id="attachment_783" align="aligncenter" width="660"]IMG_9777 only had a photo with Claud though hehe[/caption]

OK ANYWAY, back to the main topic.

Types of customers promoters have to face

Just working 3 times and I can roughly classify most of the customers HAHAHAH

1. Interested

They are genuinely interested in the product and wouldn't mind listening, then they'll buy.

2. Comparing brands but still slightly interested

They want to buy the product but is researching and trying to find the best deal possible/best product possible. Then they'll ask you what's the different between your product and the other brand's product and you'll be like ... uhh ... different brands lor. HAHA

3. Listening but not interested

Even if you explain everything to them till your throat runs dry, they will still listen but NEVER buy. -.-

4. Daosterz

Clearly there are some who would just dao you completely even if you try and ask them if they are interested. HOW ABOUT JUST SAY NO OR INDICATE THE PERSON IS THERE??? (ahahah I always feel like slapping these people you think you big isit???)

5. Awkward decline-rs

They're actually nice but are not interested in the product, so they'll just nod and smile shyly at you to show they're uninterested.

6. Question spammers

Well basically they'll just ask you every single question about the product in the whole world. Be mentally prepared.

7. The BUYERS

YAY even though I don't get commission but the satisfaction of selling it is GREAT. WHEEEEEEEEE

Well this is my take on some of the kinds of customers you'll see as a promoter HAHA But this experience is really valuable ;)) Even though there'll f-ing asshole customers but overall if your colleagues are nice, it's quite a fun and slack job ;)))

VOLLEYBALL CHALET [Aloha Changi] // DAY 3 // Teppanyaki // Arcade // The Imitation Game

DAY 3

IMG_9729

Oh noez :(( Last day of chalet (actually it has already ended but SIANS I totally have chalet withdrawal symptoms :'( ) Really can't wait for the next chalet!! But since the guys are enlisting soon, we probably won't be able to have our next chalet quite soon :(( Ok anyway I realised why I look so cui it's just cause of my glasses!! No matter what everytime I wear my glasses I'll be the most cui looking person around LOL

IMG_9730

Took a bus out of Aloha Changi to Tampines Mall to get breakfast, which was TEPPANYAKI.

[caption id="attachment_772" align="aligncenter" width="660"]IMG_9735 MEATTTTT[/caption]

Virgin Teppanyaki experience!! It's the teppanyaki shop at Tampines Mall B1. Always thought it was quite cool to sit in front of the chef and watch him cook HEHEHE. Got the beef one for $9.80. (or was it $9.50 I forgot LOL) Anyway, The vegetables and taugay were SO GOODDDDD. Especially the taugay <3 MMMM Love the taugay like cray heheheh. The beef was quite good actually but quite spicy so it took a while to finish it AHAHA.

[caption id="attachment_773" align="aligncenter" width="660"]IMG_9736 leon's sexy shoulders ;) (+peeling)[/caption]

Arcade

IMG_9737

[caption id="attachment_775" align="aligncenter" width="577"]IMG_9738 Jubeat-ers[/caption]

Sorry actually arcade doesn't have to be blogged but IT WAS TOO FUNNY NOT TO TALK ABOUT IT HAHAHAHAHHA. Ok so we were playing Jubeat and Wei was playing. He's a really funny dude so watching him play is already entertainment. But the really funny part was halfway through you'll see blood on the squares HAHAHAHA. Everyone just went "WHAT THE SHIT IS GOING ON" and apparently 3 of his fingers were bleeding cause it was too dry HAHAHAHAHAHA. OMG it's abit scary but actually funny HAHAHAHAHAH. Sorry Wei if you see this!!! x)

The Imitation Game

Next was The Imitation Game at Century Square. IT WAS SOOOOO GOOD. Like, damn mindblowing. It's basically about this guy who invented this machine to crack codes and how he did it to help save his country and stop the war. Shall not say too much lest it becomes a spoiler ^^

Kinda sad it's the last day and everything's over but really glad to know that we are still REALLY CLOSE even after As ended <3 And all the secrets were spilled ;)) NEXT CHALET PLZ
