Job Hunting

So Laura and I had nothing better to do and wanted to find relatively higher paying jobs, so we decided to go legit job hunting. TRADITIONAL KIND-- going to shops and asking if they are hiring.

HAHAHAAH It's quite awkward initially, but after a while we just got so thickskinned we just asked EVERYWHERE. There were actually alot of jobs available, just that some outlets are already full and would probably ask you to go another outlet to work.

Filling up of forms

All of them would require you to fill up forms, and some forms ARE DARN LONG. I have no idea why, they want your family's particulars too??? Why do you need my parent's birthday, are you gonna give them presents? And it's so annoying filling up these long and naggy forms omg. DAHECKKKK. Aiya WTV as long as I can work with a friend!!! ;))

After hunting for jobs for a day well these are my findings:

TIPS ON JOB HUNTING 

1. Ask about the pay first

No point filling up the forms and then realising that the pay is not what you wanted right? Unless you're not interested in the pay ;)))

2. Ask about the working hours

What if they give you some shit working hours??

3. Flexibility!!!

I LUVVVVV flexible jobs ;)

4. Work with friends?

THAT's FOR US HAHA. We actually gauged if they required 2 workers in the shop and then choose which shop to ask if not they only hire one person :(

HAHAHAHA KIDDING. No but really ask them first!!! And FnB usually has higher pay :((( OHWELLZ. Especially Chinese fine dining restaurants LOL. So cool!!!! AIYA WTV we will continue to find so we will be EMPLOYED!!!!!

Sidenote: Visited Dong in her ugly Polo tee today!!! x))) AND CHEAP SUBWAY FOR $4.40 EACH

And it was the awkwardest day ever saw Koh Huey sitting opposite me on the MRT and I waved without thinking??? Somemore my wave was the super awkz wave omg HAHAHAHHA I have never talked to her before in school not even hi bye relationship LOLOL And I wasn't sure if it was even her anot HAHAHAHAHAAHHA

2015 Resolutions

hey;))

Nothing much happened in my life the past few days which was quite sad :( BUT quite sure it's interesting for the guys enlisting ;)) HAPPY ENLSITMENT!!!! Can't wait to see all the hot bods/blackies HAHHA

Well, since my life has slowed down, it's time to do my 2k15 resolutions HAHA. It's a little late, I know. And a month's passed already but better late than never right!!!

So here goes:

1. Meet up with my friends and leave time for them

This year is gonna be one of the best years in my life, with school starting in Sept (probably if I enter uni) and I'll be free from January-August. Can't wait to meet up with all my friends, those whom I've never seen for SO LONG, and those who are forever busy!! At least I can try and organise my schedule to fit into theirs ;) And if you're reading this and it's been a long time since we've met up PLEASE TALK TO ME OK. I am forever free for youall <3

2. Be fit

OK actually it's my lifelong goals but seriously, I have not been exercising since As ended. LOL. I exercised during As to release stress, but after As, I'VE BEEN HAVING SO MUCH FUN AND MY TIME HAS BEEN SO PACKED I HAVE NO TIME AT ALL. But it's a good thing!!!! Means I have so many friends who care :') HAHAH. Clearly cause I cannot live without people (lesson learnt from As._.) And I really need to exercise often if not all my bros who enter ns will be more fit than me AND I CANNOT TAKE THAT???? >:)

3. Earn money, but don't lose sight of my aims.

Ok, I have been working the last month as a part timer for quite a few jobs and it's actually been really interesting!!! But the thing is I've been lured by money to do stuff which I hate (admin at least). Like the pay is actually quite good for an admin job, but I'll definitely die of boredom in 3 days. I should definitely do something which I like and not for the money. If not in the future I might be thinking of doing stuff I hate but it pays well :( NO. Do stuff I like and enjoy, even if the pay may not be as good.

4. Spend less

HAHA In January I've been spending TOO MUCH. TOO MUCH. Not even joking :( quite sure my expenditure has hit over $900 in a month LOL. Been shopping too much for clothes and stuff, but at least I didn't ask for money from my parents!! ;)) Which is why I made a rough accounting book for myself to find out how much I've been spending/earning exactly. LOL Tiring, but mandatory.

5. Blog!!

Been blogging for a few months only, but I really wish I'll be able to keep up this hype for ever and ever. Or maybe for the rest of the year. Right now I can't stop using Dayre since you can't go back a day before to post which really gets on my nerves if I forgot to post something and goes to the next day -.- OCD max HAHAHA. So yes, just at least blog to entertain myself ;)

6. Be nice to people

Ok this has been my resolution since forever but clearly it will die down after a while HAHAHAHA. But ok I will do my best!!!!

7. Reduce angsty-ness

Errr I don't think I angst alot actually (maybe I do HAHA) so I have to keep my angsty-ness in check!!! LOL. But I really don't think I angst alot. :P HAHA

8. Read at least a book every month

January I didn't HAHAHA. So for Feb I will read 2 books!!!! PLEASE SUPPORT ME OK. I have to do it!!!!!!!!! Ok maybe I should do monthly book reviews to make sure I read a book HAHA. Somemore I bought too many books and they are actually stacking up in my shelf!!!

9. Eat healthily!!!

This is supposed to be under keep fit but ohwell I believe it deserves a point on it's own. So today I ate 1 full batch of cookies (I think since I made 2 batches and half disappeared alr LOL) MEANS I DEFINITELY HAVE TO EAT HEALTHILY!!! Been so long since I've ate subway so I can't wait!!! ;)))

10. Spend only if you have the money

I really don't like owing other people money so this year I will only go out if I have the money!! And spend less so I can go out more!!! ;)))

11. HAVE FUN

Literally, just have fun.

Quite sure I have alot more resolutions but I don't think I can think of them right now so I guess this will suffice!!! Can't wait for what this year will bring me, especially when I'm gonna be a florist!!!!!! WOOOOOOO OMG EXCITINGGGGG!!!!!

ANYONE NEEDS TO BUY FLOWERS CAN BUY FROM ME OK but I start work next week sad HAHA.

And I can't wait for VDAY --selling flowers to cute couples and dinner wif my loves <3 awwwwwwwww it's gonna be a lovely day hehehehehehe!!!!

AHHH CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

MR12 Staycation // STUDIO M // Tamoya

hey ;))



Had a really good sleep in the afternoon so I'm energised to blog!! OK NO kidding actually I'm still quite sleepy I might sleep early today HAHA. Anyway, it's our dear Laura's birthday!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAURA.

AND TODAY IS THE ANNIVERSARY OF MR12'13 AHAHAHA. 2 years ago we went into the school together and were the first friends we met in JC (at least for me <3) It's already 2 years alr, and I still can't believe that we are still so strong!!! Of course we are not as strong as in J1, but it doesn't matter right? As long as we are still comfortable with each other and still meet up!

Plus we even thought of cancelling it since we were quite worried about the cost and turn up rate but IT WAS GOOD AND LUCKILY WE DIDN'T.

ANYWAY, so we had a chalet-slash-staycation at Studio M before the guys all enlist (oh manz :( ) And it the first time booking a hotel and checking in, so it was a good experience!

Went really early to check in with Hannah, which we had to take bus 51 from Clarke Quay MRT to reach the place. And we also had to cross the rainbow bridge which was SO PRETTY!!

Studio M was AMAZING. And beautiful. NOT EVEN KIDDING. We paid around $212 for one night in the Studio Loft with free Wifi and breakfast for 2, and we were upgraded to the Premier Loft, which is a little bigger ;))

So actually if you think about it, it's really better than a chalet! HAHA. And much more comfortable too ;)

So we continued nua-ing in the room till the others came in late, and so headcount: Me, Hannah, Erica, Yue Heng, Pris, Poop, Dong, Laura.

Ordered the first round of pizza first from Dominoes since we were STARVING and they had their 2 pizzas promotion, AND the deliver the food quite quickly so it was our best choice. And the pizzas were devoured in the next 10min.

So we had to order round 2. ALL THE CANNIBALS I TELL U DEVOURING THE PIZZA IN 10MIN.



Played Charades which was FREAKING HILARIOUS and then chatted about random stuff <3 Mama G and Udon came so late ._. burden sia. But it's ok at least they are here!!!

Dong and I went to Holiday Inn to buy alcohol HAHA cause we got nothing better to do and walked past Zouk in our super lapsup clothes HAHA damn funny everyone all wearing nice nice and we so chill walking past them. And we took our classic clubber night bridge photo HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.





Played King's cup for a while and alot of them got tired so they went to sleep, and Dong, Mama G, Udon and I were playing taitee HAHA which was actually quite hilarious. And since dong wanted to try getting drunk I just drank shots with her which was really quite crazy but nothing happened LOL. AIYA wtv :((( But I think I got quite high hahahaa.





Justin came over the next morning and I went for hotel breakfast with him since the rest didn't want to go. THE FOOD WAS AWESOME. Legit. OMG I was so happy!!!!!! The rest just ate bread and kokocrunch and I felt quite bad oops :((( But still, THEIR SCRAMBLED EGGS WAS DAMN GOOD, AND THEIR OMELETTES WERE SO GOOD. Basically I was just eating eggs HAAHAHAHHA. Not even joking!!!!

   

Played bridge after, and I was soooooo good at it. HUR HUR HUR. SIANZ but they all playing against me :(((( annoyingz AHHAA. But I was damn high while playing hehehe it's so fun!!!



Met MJ at Nex after and ate Carl's Jr for lunch before crashing his house to play RESISTANCE and CHEAT. OH MY GOD RESISTANCE IS SO FUN WHEN YOU ARE THE SPY!!!!!! IT WAS HILARIOUS. And we weren't supposed to win but one resistance went to fail the mission HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH DED. WOOOOOOOOO.

Ken also came by and played cheat with 2 decks of cards, and I even reached this stage where I had 53 cards OMG.

Dinner was at Liang Court-Tamoya with Laura and MJ which sold udon. (Since the couple pangseh-ed us) The udon was really GOOD!!! And I was also quite hungry so I was really happy x) The shop was really small though, but they had the japanese feel to it, and they had a few kinds of udon to choose from. I got the cold udon mmmmm yumsies HEHE. Wanted to try the tempura but didn't have the money so I guess I couldn't be bothered ._. But my phone died since I couldn't even use my charger WA DAMN BURDEN  :(((



BASICALLY OG STAYCATION WAS JUST DAMN FUN LA. We really missed those who didn't come :(((( If only more people could drop by!!!! And it's quite cool since 30 Jan was the first day of orientation for JC, and we have our own staycation, and 1 Feb is our anniversary!!!! REALLY LOVE ALL MY OG MATES as ahma I am so proud of them!!! <3

Can't wait for the next OG outing (which might be after their BMT alr, or maybe CNY!!) and if more people could come I'D BE IN HEAVEN <3333!!!!!!

Studio M was quite affordable IMO especially during their promotions, AND it's at Clarke Quay. But it's actually quite hard to get there HAHA but still I LOVE STAYCATIONS.

AND HAPPY ENLISTING!!!!
